Marine rotor test tank investigation

A technique was developed for testing model turbines in a water tank. Performance parameters were continuously modelled by computer, enabling the characteristic to be determined over a wide range of operating conditions. These tests were carried out at 1/30 and 1/50th scales at the University of Wales Swansea.
